At all three of our venues, guests can choose from over 180 ready-made items to paint and personalise. From practical items to fun figurines and home decor – we have something for everyone. This creative activity is paired with curated catering offers and warm hospitality to ensure that your event is both enjoyable and seamless from start to finish.
Clay Café Hout Bay: Nature Meets Creativity
Clay Café Hout Bay is nestled in the heart of the valley, surrounded by mountains and lush gardens. The natural setting creates a calm and inspiring environment that is perfect for teams to unwind and reconnect. Guests can select from a wide variety of ceramics, with pricing based on item size.
🎨 Pottery price packages range from R160 pp to R200 pp.
🎨 Our catering menu includes seasonal platters and grazing boards that can be tailored to your request. We have a halaal certified kitchen on-premises as well.
🎨 Food prices: R130 pp for a meal (off of a set menu) or set team-building menu – selection of 8 snacks and tapas options with pizzas at R400 pp.

Clay Café in the City: Creativity in the Heart of Cape Town
Clay Café in the City offers a vibrant, urban atmosphere on Bree Street, making it a convenient choice for teams working in or around central Cape Town. Here, guests can paint ceramics while enjoying a relaxed yet stylish setting.
🎨 Pricing is flexible, with 3 options available based on budget:
- A studio fee of R45 plus the cost of your chosen item, which ranges between R80 and R480.
- Packages: medium R185 pp and R205 pp for the large package (includes item + firing and glazing)
🎨 Catering can be arranged from our catering selection, set menu, or canapé options. The venue has a fully licensed bar.
🎨 Standard bookings are for 2.5-3 hours, with extended time available in the evenings.

Clay Café Paarl: A Creative Escape on a Historic Wine Farm
Located on the historical Groot Parys Farm, Clay Café Paarl offers a countryside atmosphere that combines creativity, relaxation, and excellent food. This venue is particularly well-suited for groups looking for a more exclusive setting.
🎨 Guests can select from two package options:
The first option is priced at R300 pp for a breakfast booking at 10:00, or R350 pp for lunch at 14:00.
- This includes a welcome tea, coffee, or juice on arrival
- A pre-selected breakfast or pizza menu depending on the time of day
- One cold drink
- One small ceramic item to paint, with the studio fee included.
The second option is R450 pp for breakfast or R500 pp for lunch.
- This includes a welcome drink
- A pre-selected breakfast or a choice of pizza or beef/chicken burger for lunch
- A dessert
- One cold drink
- One medium ceramic item to paint, with the studio fee included.
